History
Essential Talent has evolved from a one man business in 1985 to be part of a group of companies falling under the umbrella of International Spectaculars.
Essential Talent started out as Ricarp Productions in 1985.
Producing shows first for the Adelaide night club circuit and then in 1986 securing a contract in Korea for a Vegas style production in a casino. This was to be the first of many shows to tour Internationally.
Ricarp Productions quickly established itself as a market leader, producing and touring a variety of shows throughout Asia to Amusement Parks, Casino's, Theatres and Cruise ships.
In 1995 founder Richard Laidlaw bought Australian based Entertainment Agency "Essential Talent" known for it's large market share of corporate entertainment. At this time the name Ricarp Productions was dropped as the main trading name and Essential Talent put in place as the new name for the Production Company, Agency and newly formed Entertainment School to fall under.
The company expanded yet again in 1999 with the purchase of Actors Ink, an agency representing Professional Actors with a casting department for TV Commercials and Films. The expansion continued in 2009 with the purchase of SA Freelancers representing film crew and technicians. International Spectaculars Pty Ltd was formed to be the main operating company for the businesses to operate under.
International Spectaculars Pty Ltd is the only company of it's kind in Australia specialising in all facets of the entertainment Industry. Essential Talent - producing and touring theatrical productions for stage and representing variety performers. Actors Ink - representing actors, casting and producing for film and TV SA Freelancers - representing film technicians and crew for stage and film.
Essential Talent is truly part of a powerhouse of the entertainment industry.
